Welcome

Sandwell Diabetes Support Group would like to welcome you to our website where you can find out about us and details of our forthcoming meetings and events.

We are a voluntary group of Diabetes UK for people with diabetes, their families and health care professionals. We also welcome anyone with an interest in diabetes.

We meet every other month at Sandwell Hospital where we discuss common problems and listen to a guest speaker.

Our aim is to support people with diabetes in Sandwell and influence the Primary and Secondary care trusts to provide the very best care for their patients.

Fact - In June 2009 there were 15,941 people registered with a doctor in Sandwell who had been diagnosed with diabetes and a similar number (15,881) in the Heart of Birmingham thus suggesting that there is a great need for an organisation such as ours.
